The Barn is very easy to find.  We are situated on the A35 which is the main road through Ashurst leading out from Southampton towards Lyndhurst.  Click here for a  MAP

From the M27

Take the M271 exit (Junction 3) towards Southampton and the Docks.  Go to the end of the M271 (about 1.5 miles) and take the second exit off the roundabout towards A35 (Totton, Lyndhurst and Bournemouth).  Continue on that road without turning off until you reach the sign to Ashurst (about 2miles altogether).  The Barn is on the right hand side of the road - it has two wooden five bar gates and and a wooden sign "The Barn".  If you get to the pedestrian crossing and the shops you've overshot by about 200 metres!

From Southampton

By train

Ashurst New Forest station is only five minutes' walk from The Barn and there's an hourly service from Waterloo.  If you're coming from other directions you may have to change at Southampton Central.

When you get off the train at Ashurst just walk off the platform and onto a gravel path (there's only one way off the platform!).  The path has a gate at the end.  Go through the gate and follow the lane until you pass 'The Happy Cheese' pub (about 200 metres).  Just beyond the pub there's a pedestrian & cycle crossing - go over this and turn right.  The Barn is about 200 metres along that road - look out for the wooden gates.
