Optional, three course, evening meals are available for our guests every evening at 6.30pm (£15 per head).  We do not have set menus, preferring to tailor meals to the individual preferences of guests and use, where possible, seasonal produce.  All food we prepare is free of animal products of any kind.  (Kindly note that we do not offer meals for anyone other than our resident guests.)

Like many people we wrestle with dilemmas about food miles and whether it's better to buy non organic local produce rather than imported organic items.  In practice we mainly use a mixture of local, organic and FairTrade produce.  We have a zero food waste policy.

We make fresh organic soya milk and, occasionally, tofu.  Usually, our bread is home made using stoneground locally grown wholewheat flour produced at the Eling Tide Mill - the country's last remaining operational tide mills (situated 2 miles from The Barn at the top of the Solent Estuary).
